Transferring your domain name is an important step and we're here to guide you through the process, ensuring it's as smooth as possible. Here's a friendly breakdown of what you need to do.
First and foremost prepare your domain
Before initiating the transfer, there are a few steps you need to take with your current Registrar:
Unlock Your Domain: Make sure your domain is unlocked and ready for transfer from your current Registrar.
Disable ID Protection: Turn off ID Protection (WHOIS privacy) for your domain. This allows for a seamless transfer process.
Retrieve the EPP Code: Obtain the EPP code from your current Registrar. This code acts as an authorization key for the transfer.
Once you have obtained those, you can contact our Billing team in order to start the transfer process for you or you can do so on your own by being logged into your Customer portal account and following the link.
Please note that domain transfers can take up to 8 days to be completed. Rest assured, our team is diligently working to ensure a swift transfer for you.
Keep in mind that if your domain is associated with a hosting plan on our platform, it's a good idea to update the DNS records for the domain before the transfer. This step may cause a short downtime, typically ranging from 1 to 4 hours. We appreciate your understanding during this brief interruption.
