When it comes to installing an SSL certificate, cPanel offers a variety of certificates that one can choose from. In today's manual we will be reviewing how to install the Lets encrypt certificate.
The first and most important step would be one to access the cPanel portal. This could be achieved in three simple ways.
First one would be through the server itself. When you have signed up for an account with Stablehost, you should have received a server URL that you can use directly.
The second option would be to use yourdomainname.com/cpanel, note that this will work only if the domain name is pointing towards our nameservers.
And the third option would be through the Client portal, which you can access through the following link.
https://billing.stablehost.com/clientarea.php
Once you login to the Client portal, you will be able to see your active services. Click on "Services" and on the next screen you will see the services you have with Stablehost.
Click on "Active" and on your left side you will see "Login to cPanel".
Voila! You are now in cPanel. It's time to search for the "Lets encrypt" icon. You can do so by inputting it in the search bar.
Once you open that up, you will have two sections to choose from. One is all the Lets encrypt certificates that have already been installed, and all the certificates that you can install to your domain names.
If you wish to install a certificate you can simply find the domain name and click on "Issue".
On the next page you will be prompted to issue the certificate. You can leave that space by default as it is, and once again you can click on "Issue".
After that you will see a screen like the one below and the Lets encrypt SSL will be installed.
Do not forget to allow it a few minutes before trying to use the https:// version and also if it's not loading securely still, make sure to delete browser cache.
